Nakheel’s Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai is gearing up for a four day celebration to mark the 43rd UAE National Day, with a host of entertainment on offer from Tuesday 2 December to Friday 5 December.
Ibn Battuta will showcase the country’s rich culture, heritage and traditions every afternoon and evening throughout the four days. Activities and events run from 2pm until 10pm and include live performances on stage and throughout the mall; an Arabic tent servicing traditional Arabic coffee and sweets; henna designs and more.
Omar Khoory, Director, Nakheel Retail, said: “Ibn Battuta Mall is getting ready for four days of fun, food and family entertainment in celebration of 43 years of UAE independence. Our activities are free and open to everybody, and we look forward to welcoming regular Ibn Battuta customers and those who are visiting us for the first time during this full-filled event.”
Ibn Battuta Mall is the world’s largest themed shopping mall. Centred around the travels of renowned 14th century Arabian explorer, Ibn Battuta has six individually-designed zones named after and featuring architecture reflecting the most influential places he visited.
Ibn Battuta has more than 270 shops, 50 restaurants, a 21-screen cinema and 4,500 parking spaces. An expansion project, currently underway, will add 150 retail and dining outlets and a hotel.
