More than 50 orphans and under-privileged children from the UAE were treated to an afternoon of shopping and adventure at Ibn Battuta Mall in Dubai as part of a series of Ramadan initiatives at world’s largest themed shopping mall.
The children, aged 5 to 12, had the chance to choose free clothes and shoes from retailer RedTag, before spending the rest of the day at Ibn Battuta’s Fun City complex and then enjoying Iftar, courtesy of Nakheel.
In a separate Ramadan scheme in conjunction with Dubai’s Dar Al Ber Society, Nakheel has set up giant boxes at Ibn Battuta’s China and Tunisia Courts to encourage visitors to donate unwanted books, shoes, clothes and money during the Holy Month. Under the initiative, in conjunction with Dubai’s Dar Al Ber Society, collected items distributed to people in need across the UAE.
